Scents of almond, apple and pumpkin
emanate throughout the house.
Thanksgiving day is upon us and too
a casement of opportunity to
reflect on our lives, loves, and friends.
On paper, fall is an ending;
out with the old year, in with the new.
For me, it is a beginning...
New friends, new direction, new light is shed
on work to be done during this rite of drum.
There will be no stairwell to hide beneath,
my end result will mirror individual effort.
