WRITERS ARE RODENTS
My mind spins nocturnally
Like a hamster on his Habitrail wheel
Juiced up on a caffeine IV
Chewing at thoughts
Like that rodent with its paws
Around a kernel of corn
Teeny tiny pieces gnawed on
In rapid, repetitive bites
Until a line or phrase
Regurgitates without a bile sound
While the world
Unsuspecting
Sleeps

Caffeine IVs? They make those?!
Seriously, though, I've never seen the editing process described as rodents nibbling and puking. It's original and valid, and I dig it. :)
